I love music and sharing it we’re going to give this a shot.
Here’s some I’ve been listening to lately.
About the artists
White Lies
A fairly new band from England I’ve been into them since the first song I heard and is the one in the playlist above. To Lose My Life is also the name of the album which hasn’t made it to Canada yet but I’m eager for it’s release here.

Elbow
Another band from England Elbow have been around for a while but this album has really caught my attention. Numerous amazing songs on it, and I had difficulty choosing just one but the selection came down to Grounds For Divorce

Metric
The first Canadian entry on here, Emily Haines voice always keeps me listening to Metric and the song on the list above wasn’t even planned as a single. Knowing that I can’t wait for the album due out in April 2009!

Eagles Of Death Metal
Josh Homme’s second band is just as good as his first, Queens of The Stoneage just took off before this one.
Wannabe In LA is the most catchy song of this year in my head, I hear it once and I can’t get it out for weeks.

Boxer Rebellion
I first heard these guys on The Strombo Show and can’t stop listening to Evacuate.
Based out of England, and two albums in they’re sound is amazing and they’re technically still unsigned…. not that you need a record label these days.

Arkells
Based out of Hamilton another Canadian band they used to be known as Charlamagne.
Just lately these Hamilton (and one Newmarket) boys are heading to Texas, England, and running the summer concert junket.

Kasabian
About to release their third album in June I’m still excited to listen to the last one, Empire and I’ve been playing Me Plus One non stop. Keep an eye out for their new CD - West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum.
Another English band, I seem to enjoy a lot of talent coming from that country where there’s never a lack of good music including Kasabian.

Santogold
…aka Santigold now according to her Myspace/Wikipedia, she’s released one album thus far and been on Rolling Stone’s Artists to Watch.
Really catchy song L.E.S. Artists is exciting to listen to now that it’s getting warmer outside, can’t wait until I can roll my windows down and to her at full blast.
